The lettuce grown at fisheads is the best lettuce i've ever eaten! always fresh, crisp, & tasty...there is a steady supply in my refrigerator at all times! i've personally toured the greenhouse and can say doug & lisa are very dedicated to providing excellent tasting, organic produce. the facility is very clean and efficiently managed.. Aquaponics is a system of agriculture in which fish waste supplies nutrients for plants to grow. at fisheads, the fish are raised in an area separated from the lettuce. filtered water from their big tank is pumped into the greenhouse where the veggies grow soil-free..
